The End of Time
an immersive stage poem
A small immersive theater event incorporating the music of Olivier Messiaen’s seminal work “The Quartet for the end of Time” and the visual artwork of Barron Storey created in response to the historical legacy of Messiaen’s music.
Was the “end of time” conceived in a World War II prisoner of war camp? This February, San Jose cellist, artistic director and performer Cellista (Freya Seeburger) presents The End of Time, a one-of-a-kind performance of French composer Olivier Messiaen’s seminal work, “The Quartet for the End of Time.” The presentation incorporates the artwork of renowned visual artist Barron Storey into a small immersive setting for a presentation of classical music.
